From old part to new part
Sample part, photos, dimensions or available documentation are checked for function and manufacturability.
The relevant geometry is captured and rebuilt as a CAD model.
Identifiable weak points can be redesigned where technically appropriate.
A first component is used to verify fit and function. A small batch can follow.
Technical background
Reproduction is about more than external shape. Mounting, installation space, assembly, load and later use must work together. That is why technical requirements are clarified before production.
Non-binding assessment
For an initial assessment, photos, dimensions and a brief description of the application are usually sufficient.
For suitable small parts, 3D capture can serve as a starting point for reconstruction. Functional surfaces, fits and relevant dimensions are then technically checked and prepared in CAD.
3D capture → data processing → dimensional verification → CAD reconstruction → prototype/production.
